Brilliant continuation of the Chronicles of Crystal Palace. Exciting story and great historical facts. Can’t wait for the 3rd book.
Picked this up right after finishing the first and just like it’s predecessor, it doesn’t disappoint. A major twist which I should have seen coming but absolutely didn’t, and just makes all the more mysteries rise! (Along with the ever puzzling character of the Alone Child- whom I really think could just need a friend!) Another great instalment to the series
Really enjoyed this book an excellent sequel
To the reader’s great pleasure, Joe and his Victorian friends reunite to embark on a gripping, eerie race against the clock to save his father. An adventure full of twists and jaw-dropping moments, where past, present and future work for and against one another in a world where friendship and family love compete against mystical powers. Such a clever use of timelines and folklore and of Victorian and present day London places that make the reader want to turn the pages towards the grand finale. Finale, for now. And for then.
